Overview

Reports to: Vice President, Financial Risk and Capital Planning

 

Functions Supervised: Not applicable

 

Primary Functions: Responsible for assisting in developing and administering a regulatory compliant capital planning and stress testing program for the Credit Union.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Become familiar with the NCUA’s capital planning requirements and supervisory expectations and stay abreast of emerging changes to expectations.
  2. Collaborate with internal and third-party providers as part of the capital planning process (policy, model developers, data (requirements, quality issues, delivery) and monitor project status and timelines.
  3. Responsible for reporting or analysis activities that pertain to understanding the impact of financial performance, strategic initiatives, concentrations and other relevant risk exposures on the enterprise’s overall capital position and risk framework.
  4. Responsible for aggregating stressed results and investigating their impact on the enterprise capital and balance sheet over time.
  5. Assisting in the development of written procedures, policies and other internal controls that support the capital planning and stress testing process.
  6. Coordinate with senior leaders in carrying out governance processes related to capital planning
    Focus on implementing efficient and repeatable processes that are consistent with regulatory expectations and business needs.

Qualifications

Requirements: Strong understanding of financial assets and liabilities, strong financial analysis skills, ability to work independently, results oriented with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

 

Education: Degree in accounting, finance, economics or some other quantitative field.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Experience in Asset Liability Management or Lending within a complex financial institution.

 

Experience/Skills: Two plus years working in a financial institution, strong MS Excel skills. Experience with DFAST and/or CCAR experience preferred but not required.


Tenure: Assignment to the Capital Planning Analyst I (Category 09), Capital Planning Analyst II (Category 08), or Senior Capital Planning Analyst (Category 07) will be determined by the candidate's education and/or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's performance.

 

 

Compensation

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.

Salary Pay Range: 07

$90,389 - $152,718 annually

Salary Pay Range: 08

$79,989 - $132,798 annually

Salary Pay Range: 09

$69,557 - $112,677 annually
