Functions Supervised: Military Branch Operations
Primary Functions: In this role, you will lead and execute full scope branch performance for a Global Credit Union location operating on a U.S. military installation. As the on base branch leader, you are accountable for delivering exceptional member experiences, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring operational excellence—while also serving as a trusted partner to military leadership and the broader installation community. You will inspire, empower, and develop a high performing team through values based leadership and a coaching mindset. Success in this role requires deep understanding of military culture, protocol, and operational expectations, combined with the ability to translate enterprise strategies into effective, compliant, and mission aligned execution in a highly regulated, security sensitive environment. As both a business leader and military liaison, you will represent Global Credit Union with professionalism and credibility, strengthening relationships, expanding membership, and reinforcing Global’s commitment to serving those who serve. Your leadership will directly impact Global’s reputation, growth, and long-term presence within the military community.
Key Outcomes:
• Member Experience & Efficiency: Deliver consistent, empathetic, and personalized service across all member segments, particularly active duty, reserve, civilian, and veteran members. Drive operational efficiency through digital adoption, effective first contact resolution, and lobby management.
• Portfolio, Acquisition & Retention: Meet/exceed branch production goals on deposits and loans; drive net new deposits, memberships, and shares within the military community, while expanding multi product households. Minimize attrition through proactive retention and advance Personal Lines Insurance quote & bind outcomes.
• Talent & Culture: Develop and retain a high performing team through coaching and performance management, ensuring readiness to serve a serve a military population with professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness. Foster an inclusive workplace with high morale, developing internal talent and succession readiness through structured coaching and performance management.
• Operational Integrity: Ensure full compliance with policies and regulatory requirements; uphold and maintain strong asset controls (security, cash/negotiables, General Ledger (GL) accounts) and schedule adherence for Member Service Center overflow calls. Uphold all on-base operational, safety, and security protocols.
• Community Impact: Serve as Global Credit Union’s primary representative to base command, liaison officers, and military partners strengthening relationships, influence, and institutional trust. Actively engage installation leadership and participate in command calls, events, and community activities. Lead financial education, outreach, and recognition efforts that reinforce Global CU’s role in supporting military readiness and financial well being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead & Execute: Translate business objectives into clearly defined, branch-level priorities with individualized action plans; direct and oversee activities to consistently exceed targets.
2. Coach & Mentor: Provide regular observational feedback and structured monthly 1:1s; specifically coaching the Assistant Branch Manager to drive service and sales excellence. Develop team capability in needs based conversations, compliance discipline, and military focused service excellence.
3. Elevate Military Member Experience: Ensure team members understand and respect military culture, protocol, and member expectations. Guide tailored solutions that address the unique financial needs of military life (deployments, PCS moves, benefits, and transitions).
4. Grow the Business: Identify opportunities to expand Global’s presence and impact on base through partnerships, events, and outreach. Activate and maintain strong internal partnerships (Insurance Brokers, Home Loans, Business/Commercial Services, Retirement & Investment Services) to deliver comprehensive solutions.
5. Military Liaison & Representation: Conduct regular base command calls and maintain strong relationships with military and civilian leadership. Effectively balance in-branch responsibilities with community presence to ensure consistent representation of Global Credit Union. Coordinate and support enterprise wide military initiatives, events, and recognition activities. Advocate for Global Credit Union within the installation while ensuring alignment with command expectations.
6. Manage Personnel & Operations: Hire, onboard, evaluate, and develop team members; foster a collaborative environment that encourages unity, teamwork, and diverse ideas that support Global’s mission, vision and values.
7. Maintain Compliance and Operations: Adhere to all regulatory requirements; understand all policies/procedures and exercise sound judgment as appropriate. Ensure facility maintenance and supply inventory meet standards.
8. Call Center Support: Support Member Service Center overflow activities and ensure schedule adherence.
9. Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: 2+ years of management experience, with a track record of meeting goals and driving satisfaction in a high-volume environment.
Experience/Skills: Demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams to excellence in sales, service, and operational integrity. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience working in or supporting military communities. Knowledge of military organization, culture, and protocol; prior military service or military liaison experience strongly preferred. Experience operating in a highly regulated, security sensitive environment. Obtain and maintain applicable state Personal Lines Insurance licenses to quote and bind products; meet established quote and issue goals. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.
