Overview

Reports to: Domain Manager, Symitar Services

 

Functions Supervised: None

 

Primary Functions: Collaborates as a member of Product Development Teams in the analysis of Symitar system processes and capabilities.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Participates in core feature and user story development, executing responsibilities, and collaborating as a member of the Product Development Team.
  2. Engages in Product Development Team initiatives requiring Symitar expertise and institutional knowledge.
  3. Maintains knowledge of Symitar capabilities and supported business processes within the credit union.
  4. Document Symitar user stories and specifications.
  5. Document Symitar architectures, data flows, and relationships to business processes.
  6. Collaborate with engineers on technical design and development.
  7. Ensure traceability of Symitar specifications from requirements analysis through testing and validation.
  8. Collaborate with Product Development Team members on test case development, documentation, and acceptance.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required in a discipline such as computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience. Certifications in Agile, SCRUM, MCSE, and/or CISA preferred.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Equivalent technical education and/or related work experience.


Experience/Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing at a variety of levels to include business stakeholders, vendors, technical teams, customers, and management. At least a year of professional experience as a Symitar System Analyst. Experience with Agile methodologies and core banking systems preferred. Strong working knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices and methodologies to include SCRUM and Kanban. Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle, operating systems, tools to test software applications/systems, development/modeling tools, and time management skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision/direction, and able to work as part of a large or small team. Data process modeling, data mapping and data design experience and technical workflow design.


Tenure: Assignment to the Symitar Analyst I (Category 10), Symitar Analyst II (Category 09), Symitar Analyst III (Category 08), or Senior Symitar Analyst (Category 07) will be determined by the candidate's education or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's certifications and/or performance.

 

Compensation

Salary Pay Range:

 

  • Systems Analyst I (Category 10): $63,233 - $99,908 annually
  • Systems Analyst II (Category 09): $69,557 - $112,677 annually 
  • Systems Analyst III (Category 08): $79,989 - $132,798 anually
  • Senior Systems Analyst (Category 07): $90,389 - $152,718 annually

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
