Overview

Reports to: Procurement and Supply Supervisor

 

Functions Supervised: Warehouse, Supply Catalog, Procurement, Inventory, Distribution Center

 

Primary Functions: Responsible for finding goods and services for the credit union and CUSOs at the best value regarding quality and price, as well as the inventory management of all materials in the consolidated warehouse.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Execute the credit union's comprehensive supply chain strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives across the credit union network.
  2. Research suppliers of goods and services; gather quotes, proposals and purchase terms and conditions; negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods deadlines and expectations in support of the credit unions supply chain life cycle.
  3. Maintain and update supply catalog; monitor inventory levels and order all supplies and materials to ensure uninterrupted flow to the credit union and CUSOs; review orders, invoices, inventory and deliveries for accuracy; provide data on printed materials to ensure they current and meet all compliance requirements.
  4. Gather data on credit union spend and markets to assist with identifying alternate vendors which provide superior products, services, solutions and cost savings opportunities; gather data to assist with identifying material or procedural changes to improve efficiencies and/or provide cost savings.
  5. Maintain and review inventory records to track the flow of goods through the supply chain process; maintain accurate accountability of all materials; execute the receipt and proper storage of supplies and materials.
  6. Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods.
  7. Prepare reports as required detailing inventory usage, demand history and trends.
  8. Independently plan, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate activities and the work of assigned staff; establish deadlines and regularly meet with staff to resolve issues and roadblocks.
  9. Monitor work areas and examine systems to ensure safe conditions or to prevent violations of procedures or safety rules.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable

 

Experience/Skills: Three-years' experience in the procurement or supply chain management field. Computer experience required. Must have fundamental knowledge of warehousing and inventory management procedures, with the ability to coordinate several functions simultaneously. Must have strong organizational skills and be capable of lifting 50 pounds.

 

Tenure: Assignment to the Procurement and Supply Officer II category 10, or the Procurement and Supply Officer III category 09, will be determined by the candidate's education or experience.  Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's performance.

Compensation

Salary Pay Range:

  • Procurement and Supply Officer I (Category 11): $52,258 - $81,523 annually 
  • Procurement and Supply Officer II (Category 10): $57,484 - $90,825 annually
  • Procurement and Supply Officer III (Category 09): $63,233 - $101,804 annually


Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.


In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
