Overview

Reports to: Senior Vice President, Business Intelligence

 

Functions Supervised: Enterprise Data

 

Primary Functions: Responsible for eliciting business requirements, designing, building and supporting the enterprise data components including the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) master data management (MDM), ensuring data quality, setting and executing on the data strategy, analysis and visualization of data, and artificial intelligence / machine leaning (AI/ML).


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, monitor and manage the expectations and experience within the department. Provide leadership to departmental staff to build meaningful relationships.
  2. Coach and mentor departmental staff.
  3. Formulate and execute operational plans to support the enterprise data strategy.
  4. Oversight of project management for data analytics projects
  5. Oversight of the organizational data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning functions.
  6. Identify and integrate sources of data to create actionable data driven insight and recommendations.
  7. Perform reviews of the departmental staff’s code and work product prior to implementation and distribution.
  8. Lead Data Quality (DQ) and Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
  9. Develop and implement governance processes around data management, and development, and utilization.
  10. Maintains in-depth knowledge of credit union operations and knowledge of current industry trends as well as current methods and technologies that relate to Data Warehousing, data preparation, analytics, statistics, and reporting / presentation practices.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Minimum of twelve years progressive experience in a comparable position.

 

Experience/Skills: Strong oral, written, administrative, organizational and inter-personal skills. The ability to analyze problems, develop alternatives and recommendations. Proficiency in converting analytical requirements into dimensional models (star schema, snowflakes, conformed dimensions, etc.), familiarity with scripting languages (python, PowerShell, etc.). Experience with data base design and loading and reconciling data in a SQL warehouse. Proficiency in SQL and self-service analytics tools such as Excel, Snowflake, PowerBI, Tableau etc. Proficient in developing SSAS cubes and tabular models and SSRS reports. Familiarity with Visual Studio, TFS and SSIS. Familiarity with Master Data Management, data quality tools, data integration tools, R, and Python is desired. Financial Services experience and familiarity of big data concepts is a plus.

Compensation

Manager, Data Analytics (Category 05)

 

Salary Pay Range: $109,361 - $191,554 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
