Overview

Reports to: Mortgage Process Development Manager

 

Functions Supervised: Mortgage software administration, maintenance functions and the Real Estate Systems Help Desk.

 

Primary Functions: Manage all mortgage and real estate systems and oversee the daily operations of assigned systems and other production support services.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise Real Estate Systems Technicians (MRE Help Desk).
  2. Manage and maintain the automated mortgage origination system and related software systems including MERS, POS and Consumer Direct systems to be consistent with credit union standards and procedures, ensuring that adequate controls and documentation of system security and operational procedures are developed and maintained. Coordinate with and act as primary liaison to MIS personnel as necessary to schedule upgrades and ensure adequate operations.
  3. Configure data fields, screens, and system rules to automate actions, tasks, and conditions within the mortgage LOS.
  4. Maintain a working knowledge of real estate and mortgage operations. Maintain familiarity with all applicable laws and requirements set forth by regulatory agencies, investors and guarantors.
  5. Act as the primary liaison with applicable software vendors, ensuring that all system enhancements are properly reviewed and installation and necessary user training is coordinated.
  6. Act as the primary technical support liaison for all affiliated mortgage companies. Assist in trouble-shooting and resolving technical issues and preparing and tracking MIS Project Requests. Coordinate conversation of new users as additional mortgage company partners are developed.
  7. Assist in the review of current software application features and functions to improve service and enhance department effectiveness. Assist in the review of alternatives to improving existing computer system support and automating manual systems.
  8. Assist in the modification of existing systems and procedures or in the installation of new systems and software as required.
  9. Maintain all mortgage and real estate lending documents and forms. Coordinate changes with the vendor and ensure updates are delivered and incorporated in the appropriate system(s).
  10. Supervise all maintenance functions and daily workflow related to the support of production activities.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Systems, or related field. Professional designations or advanced courses in real estate finance or data processing preferred.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: One year experience in a similar position or in work flow and systems analysis. Alternatively, two year's experience in the real estate finance field having senior-level responsibilities in an automated environment.

 

Experience/Skills: Thorough understanding of the lines of business within the department and working knowledge of the department's practices and procedures. Must be well organized, have an analytical mind, be quick to learn and require minimal direct supervision. Must have demonstrated the ability to exercise good judgment and draw valid conclusions from data gathered. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of work flows and supported application systems in a multi-departmental lending environment with specific experience in system controls involving multiple automated systems preferred. Data processing, PC LAN experience and report writer tools, (SQL, database structure and logic) also preferred.

Compensation

Mortgage Systems Administrator Supervisor (Category 08)

 

Salary Pay Range: $79,989- $132,798 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
