Reports to: Director, Corporate Information Administration
Functions Supervised: None
Primary Functions: Write, edit, update, and proofread a variety of corporate communications for accuracy, clarity and consistency. Ensure communications are compliant with corporate brand guidelines and adhere to required regulatory and/or corporate formats. Collaborate with business stakeholders to assist in ensuring individual department communications meet corporate standards. Ensure communications are published to the appropriate repository. Operate in a fashion that supports the Corporate Information Administration Vision statement to “provide distinct organizational value by stewarding our corporate information platforms and functional productivity technologies. We set the example for operating autonomously, seamlessly, and efficiently, using technology and process to deliver the greatest value for our business”.
Duties and Responsibilities:.
Education: Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Equivalent experience or training in a mid-to-large complex corporate environment.
Experience/Skills: Two or more years of professional writing experience in public relations, journalism, or corporate communications with an understanding of technical writing and/or process documentation. Well versed in using the AP Style guide. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop clear, concise messages. Expertise with M365 tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to adapt writing style for a variety of platforms and channels. Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, positive, adaptable, and a team player. Ability to effectively prioritize competing priorities and execute tasks in a corporate environment. Must have an ability to build, maintain and extend relationships across the organization. Ability to work in a collaborative environment in order to accomplish common goals and objectives. Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously. Ability to work successfully with minimal supervision. Basic familiarity with Copilot a plus.
Tenure: Assignment to the Corporate Content/Technical Writer II and Sr positions will be determined by the candidate’s education and/or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate’s certifications and consistent above average overall performance.
Salary Pay Range:
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
