Overview

Reports to: Senior Facilities Project Manager

 

Functions Supervised: N/A

 

Primary Functions: Responsible for effectively managing all aspects of a project from initial conception to final completion.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate all aspects of a project to include contract scope development, coordination, oversight and closeout, space utilization and tracking, and vendor management from conception to completion.
  2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and ensure compliance with applicable statutes, rules, regulations, ordinances, codes, administrative orders and other operational guidelines and directives.
  3. Work with internal stakeholders on planning and developing remodels, office relocations, and project requirements.
  4. Work with designers and engineers to develop scope of work documentation and/or project plans.
  5. Ensure use of change control and project management processes.
  6. Develop request for proposals (RFP) and manage the bid solicitation process.
  7. Evaluate contractor proposals and submit to department executive for review/approval.
  8. Review and approve contractor submittals.
  9. Perform regular site inspections and deliver status reports on assigned projects.
  10. Perform close out inspections.
  11. Participate in project and planning meetings.
  12. Accountable for on time and in budget delivery.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Equivalent in project management, planning and contract management of construction or facilities management

 

Experience/Skills: Five years’ experience in project management and coordination. Must have: Knowledge of applicable statutes, rules, regulations, ordinances, codes, administrative orders and other operational guidelines and directives. Excellent project management skills. Strong knowledge of building systems. Strong background and knowledge of contracting procedures. Strong written, oral and organizational skills. Adept at conducting technical research into project related issues, products, and services. Ability to use project scheduling software. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, other departments, and vendors. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.


This position requires a valid driver's license, acceptable and insurable driving record, pre-employment and random drug testing. Computer aided design experience desired. Some travel required.

Compensation

Facilities Project Manager (Category 08)

 

Salary Pay Range: $79,989 - $132,798 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above. 

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
