Overview

Reports To: RE Loan Center Supervisor

 

Primary Functions: Answer real estate and mortgage loan related telephone inquires and complete credit applications.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Answer all in-coming calls as necessary pertaining to real estate and mortgage lending issues.
  2. Maintain current in-depth knowledge of real estate and mortgage lending policies and guidelines.
  3. Obtain the information necessary to complete credit applications and related documentation.
  4. Direct members to appropriate individuals and schedule appointments for originators as necessary.
  5. Set up real estate and mortgage applications files and input into the mortgage loan origination system.
  6. Assist with loan processing and posting tasks when directed by management.
  7. Perform progressively responsible duties to include: a. Maintain logs and files as necessary regarding mortgage loan applications received and/or processed. b. Order credit reports, appraisals, and surveys as directed by the originator or manager. c. Perform routine record keeping as required, including posting.
  8. Cross-sell credit union services
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable.

 

Experience/Skills: Six months prior experience in a service related position with this credit union with direct member contact preferred. One year similar experience in a service related field acceptable. Must have a pleasant telephone voice: demonstrate a mastery of English speaking and comprehension skills; utilize sound listening skills; and communicate clearly. Familiarity with on-line data operations. Basic typing and 10-key touch calculator skills require. Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously.

 

Tenure: RE Loan Center Specialist II, Category 15, requires six months tenure in the RE Loan Center Specialist I position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. RE Loan Center Specialist III, Category 14, requires one year tenure in the RE Loan Center Specialist II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.

 

 

 

Compensation

Salary Pay Range:

  • Real Estate Loan Center Specialist I (Category 16): $40,241 - $57,142 annually
  • Real Estate Loan Center Specialist II (Category 15): $42,254 - $60,844 annually
  • Real Estate Loan Center Specialist III (Category 14): $45,633 - $66,624 annually

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
