Overview

Reports to: Senior Vice President of Compliance and Risk

 

Functions Supervised: Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering processes.

 

Primary Functions: Responsible for ensuring compliance with outstanding regulations for Global Federal Credit Union and CUSOs (referred to collectively as the Enterprise).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Act in capacity of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer for the Enterprise.
  2. Maintain in-depth knowledge of BSA regulations and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations applicable to Global Federal Credit Union and Credit Union Subsidiaries Organizations (CUSO) policies and procedures providing support to same.
  3. Administer The USA PATRIOT Act policy and procedures for the Enterprise.
  4. Administer business continuity, audits and examinations, budgeting, and operating plans for the BSA department.
  5. Ensure compliance with BSA/AML, OFAC and Blue Book policies, annual risk assessments and reporting.
  6. Report to the Board as it relates to SAR filing, BSA/AML and OFAC Risk Assessments and other BSA related items as well as operational losses.
  7. Maintain the relationship with the executive management of the subsidiaries and with their respective regulators; assist each subsidiary for their individual BSA examinations.
  8. Work with all law enforcement contacts for BSA related enforcement actions and manage 314(b) and NSL requests from other institutions.
  9. Review and recommend all third-party service providers related to BSA regulations prior to any changes in product or service.
  10. Manage BSA Liaison relationships for business units and CUSOs, as well as BSA reporting requirements to the board and management.
  11. Supervise Global Credit Union enterprise-wide BSA/AML training program including monitoring employee status and regular reporting of training-readiness through the assigned committee.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor's degree with CAMS or other related designation preferred.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Ten years experience in the area of financial institution operations with three to five years in BSA related policies and processes, and at least three years in a supervisory position.

 

Experience/Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated use of quantitative and analytical skills in problem solving and planning situations. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers as a financial analysis tool. Demonstrated knowledge of all BSA related regulations.

Compensation

Manager, BSA/AML (Category 06)

 

Salary Pay Range: $91,210 - $155,919 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
