Overview

Reports to: Manager, Budget and Financial Reporting

 

Functions Supervised: None

 

Primary Functions: Responsible for planning/budgeting and reporting for the Credit Union and CUSO’s.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1.  Assist in the credit union's and CUSO budgetary and forecasting processes including preparation, analysis, and monitoring.
  2.  Assist with preparation of the monthly Accounting Board reporting and review related Board reports prepared by other departments.
  3.  Perform GL variance analysis for the month end close process and Board reporting.
  4. Assist with preparation of the quarterly NCUA call report and annual audit report and workpaper preparation.
  5. Assist with the monthly cost accounting allocation and reporting process.
  6. Maintain internal Accounting department policies and procedures.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Four years’ experience in a similar position.


Experience/Skills: Must be well organized, be quick to learn and require minimal direct supervision. Demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment and draw valid conclusions from data gathered. Demonstrated use of quantitative and analytical skills in problem solving and planning situations. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users. An understanding of/experience with accounting in a multi-departmental and multi-company environment preferred. Experience with Microsoft Excel is a plus. Experience with accounting/reporting and budgeting software a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in the Financial Analyst I position, usually a minimum of one year at that level.

Tenure: Assignment to the Financial Analyst I category 10, Financial Analyst II category 09 or Financial Analyst III category 08 will be determined by the candidate's education or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's certifications and/or performance.

 

Compensation

Salary Pay Range:

  • Budget and Financial Reporting Analyst I (Category 10): $63,233 - $99,908 annually
  • Budget and Financial Reporting Analyst II (Category 09): $69,557 - $112,677 annually
  • Budget and Financial Reporting Analyst III (Category 08): $79,989 - $132,798 annually
  • Senior Budget and Financial Reporting Analyst (Category 07): $90,389 - $152,718 annually

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
