Overview

Reports to: Research Administration Officer

 

Functions Supervised: None

 

Primary Functions: Research exception reports and resolve account problems.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Review and process reports assigned to the Research department to include but not limited to, Dormant accounts > $1000, exception reports, postal automation cleanup, File Error report and UltraBranch Business Edition audit reports.
  2. Process Research Audit of reactivated dormant accounts.
  3. Conduct daily review of new member and business accounts to ensure compliance with the USA Patriot Act Member Identification Program (MIP). This includes reviewing and processing applicable reports.
  4. Perform required due diligence and file maintenance on applicable accounts to ensure compliance with the USA Patriot Act MIP.
  5. Assist members and credit union employees in resolving outstanding MIP issues within established timeframes. Ensure appropriate communication is completed in order to update or close an account following MIP procedures.
  6. Provide Quickshot reports to lending departments upon request.
  7. Process complex loan modifications and adjustments.
  8. Perform progressively responsible duties to include, Research specific transactions on accounts using resources available from all credit union departments to resolve problems and communicate results to the member or other department personnel. Research accounts with incorrect addresses and accounts classified as abandoned. Contact members to obtain the correct address or communicate special instructions regarding the account in question. Be familiar with credit union policies and operational procedures of other credit union departments as they apply to the situation under review. Perform transaction adjustments and complete file maintenance as appropriate to each situation.
  9. Perform Research Specialist II duties, as required.
  10. Provide support and technical assistance to branches and departments.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School graduate or equivalent

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable

 

Experience/Skills: Must have the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with members and employees on complex account issues. The position requires an aptitude for math and general accounting. The ability to work with limited supervision, solve problems, display good judgment, and pay attention to detail is also required. Must be well organized and able to adapt to new policies and procedures. One year of experience with this credit union preferred.

 

Tenure: Research Quality Assurance Specialist II, category 14, requires nine months tenure in the Research Quality Assurance Specialist I position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Research Quality Assurance Specialist III, category 13, requires nine months tenure in the Research Quality Assurance Specialist II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Senior Research Quality Assurance Specialist, category 12, requires twelve months tenure in the Research Quality Assurance Specialist II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.

 

 

Compensation

Salary Pay Range:

  • Research Quality Assurance Specialist I (Category 15): $38,412 - $55,312 annually
  • Research Quality Assurance Specialist II (Category 14): $41,484 - $60,567 annually
  • Research Quality Assurance Specialist III (Category 13): $44,803 - $66,309 annually
  • Senior Research Quality Assurance Specialist (Category 12): $48,387 - $73,549 annually

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
