Overview

Reports to: Consumer Lending Product Owner

 

Functions Supervised: None

 

Primary Functions: Research, analyze, and prepare recommendations for new software application systems, system enhancements, and evaluation of new technologies. Manage the implementation of new systems / enhancements.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan for the ongoing enhancement of all systems supporting consumer lending functions.
  2. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Global Credit Union's consumer lending products, department operations, systems, services, procedures, workflows, and training materials.
  3. Create and provide project-related materials for all phases of system and process development including the documentation of procedures and test materials.
  4. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies and best practices to provide business application direction to users and management.
  5. Prepare business proposals for the evaluation and selection of application systems, development of system enhancements, and acquisition of new technologies.
  6. Ensure that the operation, security access, data protection, and file integrity of all departmental data systems are properly maintained.
  7. Provide support to system users, including after hours, and assist with submitting Incident Reports as needed.
  8. Responsible for performance and development of consumer lending systems to ensure timely and correct completion of assignments, installations, testing, upgrades, etc.
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, policies, and procedures promulgated by established authorities or the credit union
  10. Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.

Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field.

 

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Five years of consumer lending experience in a similar capacity with advanced knowledge of workflows and systems analysis. Industry courses in consumer lending and an understanding of industry standards, programs and regulations preferred.

 

Experience/Skills: Proven experience in collaborating on development and deployment projects, contributing to successful launches and enhancements of consumer lending products and services. Experience in consumer lending at the underwriting, loan origination, senior loan processing, or collections a plus. Demonstrated analytical / problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both written and oral format. Proficient in end user computer technologies.

 

Tenure: Consumer Lending Product Developer II or III, Category 10 or 9, requires meeting proven acceptable performance standards as established by management. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.

Compensation

Salary Pay Range:

  • Consumer Lending Product Developer I (Category 11): $52,258 - $81,523 annually
  • Consumer Lending Product Developer II (Category 10): $57,484 - $90,825 annually
  • Consumer Lending Product Developer III (Category 09): $63,233 - $101,804 annually

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

 

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
